Greetings one and all

My name is Peter Long and was usually known as 'Pete', 'Ginger' or 'Ginge'.   I was a rigger (airframes) at Watton from Jan '57 to Sept '61

I'm trying to contact anyone who served on Development Sqdn, particularly Dev 'B out at the bomb dump dispersal between Jan '57 and Mar'59 and ASF, 4 Hangar from March '59 to Sept '61.

While I was on Dev 'B I lived in Block 23 room 4 from Jan '57 'til March '58 when I was posted away on a fitters course.  On my return in Sept '58 I lived in Block 23 room 2  until internally posted to ASF in March  '59.  I then moved over to Block 103 room 2.

Since leaving Watton I have maintained an intense interest in the Station to the extent of researching  its peactime history.  I am really saddened by the way dear old Watton was neglected for so many years due to political ineptitude and  that now it's being covered by housing, but that's the way things go these day's I guess!   I can be contacted via this website or on lincoln@mypostoffice.co.uk

I am in contact with a number of 'Old Wattonians' through my researches but would like to contact more of you out there.     I remember so many faces but with the passing of time, many names have faded from my aging memory.
