firstly hello to all,  i have recently moved to carbrooke from swaffham and have an intrest in anything to do with old airfields, i have had a good look around your site and am very impressed i hope to be able to draw lots of info from it and maybe contribute to it, i have some requests if anyone can help and also something to offer in relation to the content of this site.

1) there is a book about watton airfield detailed on this website where can i obtain a copy please ?

2) i record crash sites as a hobby from 1939-today if anyone has any info that may help could they please contact me, also any local defenses e.g. pillboxs or antiaircraft sites.

3) I saw Paul Lincons name mentioned on this site< is he still involved ? as he served with my fater in the TA and may rember me from when i was little.

4) my offer - you have a picture titles VSTOL in the Miscellany section by R sanderson, i have five more drawings by the same man, it came to me with a pilots log book (j. Bennett). My parents used to have a brick-a-brack shop in shipdham and i belive this VSTOL picture was once part of this collection.if you would like to add pictures of the rest of the drawings to this site please contact me.

I have researched the wargraves in watton and have stories,pictures and locations of all including photos from NZ and australia,also in my collection i have about 80+ photos of 3rd SADfrom 1942-45 taken from an airman that was based there many never seen by anyone as they were from his private collection.

the AAA for the site during the war was the 455th i belive memorial to them by the families club.
